Born from the Caribbean
Ambar & Larimar Shop was born from a simple truth: the Dominican Republic is home to two of the rarest and most beautiful gemstones on Earth — Larimar and Amber. These stones are not found in any mine or market elsewhere in the world. They are uniquely, irreplaceably Caribbean.
We work directly with artisan miners in Barahona and La Cumbre, hand-selecting each stone before it is set in sterling silver or gold by master jewelers in Santo Domingo. Every piece that bears the Ambar & Larimar name is a direct connection to the volcanic mountains and ancient forests of the Dominican Republic.
The Atlantis Connection
Larimar has long been called "The Atlantis Stone" — a name that captures both its mystery and its origin. The swirling blues and whites of Larimar mirror the Caribbean Sea itself, as if the ocean had been frozen into stone.
